My seeds won't sprout!

Below is a CHECKLIST that can help you find out why your seeds are not sprouting:

  1. Have you carefully followed all the steps included in the instruction manual that comes with the kit?
  2. Did you check the times and germination periods of each plant?
  3. Have you removed the excess water from the coconut fiber until they are only slightly moist?
  4. Have you planted too many seeds? We recommend not planting more than 7-8 seeds per pot and always leave a space of 2.5 cm between each seed, depending on the size of the seed.
  5. Have you overwatered the soil instead of keeping it slightly moist? Or on the contrary, have you not kept the soil moist?
  6. Have you planted the seeds too deep, making it difficult for oxygen to reach them?
  7. Have you kept the earth warm so that they get enough sunlight?

Adding Fertilisers and Nutrients

Before the sprouting, we recommend watering only when the soil feels no longer moist to touch. Use a small spray bottle to avoid excessive watering. Once the seeds germinate, it is important to place them in direct sunlight for 6 to 8 hours a day. This is the moment when we highly recommend you add fertilizer and other nutrients to the soil and sprouts.

Repotting

Here are some quick tips and things to remember when you are ready for repotting:

  1. Prepare your repotting material: this includes pruning shears, gardening gloves, a new pot, a suitable substrate for your plant, fertilizer, drainage material, and water for irrigation.
  2. Prepare the base for the new pot: make sure you have the correct substrate and that you create a drainage layer for the excess water to flow away a the bottom of the pot.
  3. Remove the plant from the previous pot: either with the help of a small shovel or by knocking over the pot, you must apply a little pressure to extract it little by little, and remove the plant from its previous pot.
  4. Check the roots of your plant: in case the roots have a spiral shape or are too tight, it is necessary to make small vertical cuts with the help of scissors.
  5. Let the plant rest as soon as you’re done with the repotting process and remember to rehydrate the plant without overwatering it.

Transplant

Here are some quick tips and things to remember when you're ready to transplant:

  1. Prepare the transplant material: this includes pruning shears, gardening gloves, a new pot, a suitable substrate for your plant, fertilizer, drainage material, and water for irrigation.
  2. Prepare the base of the new pot: make sure you have the right substrate and create a drainage layer so that excess water flows through the bottom of the pot.
  3. Remove the plant from the original pot: with the help of a small shovel or by turning the pot over, you must apply a little pressure to extract it little by little, and remove the plant from its original pot.
  4. Check the roots of your plant: in case the roots have a spiral shape or are too tight, it is necessary to make small vertical cuts with the help of scissors.
  5. Let the plant rest as soon as the transplanting process is complete, and remember to rehydrate the plant without overwatering.
